Let's get rid of a possible misconception: There is nothing paranormal about DEVIL'S RUN. The title comes from a real place nearby my home. Run is a synonym for "creek" (Think Bull Run). Believe it or not, there was once a Devil's Run Community. I don't know if there was a Devil's Run School, but I'm fairly certain that there was no Devil's Run church.

 

With my penchant for double entendre, I wanted to use the place name as a setting for an outbreak of "hellfire" burning its way through Hawthorn County.
